How do I know if I need a new roof?
Roofs get worn down and damaged over time, requiring you to either make repairs or replace it entirely. Repairing your roof will always be cheaper than replacing it, but sometimes it’s better to invest in a new roof to avoid racking up more costly future repairs.
Some signs it’s time for a new roof:

How often should Oklahoma roofs be replaced?
There are many variables that determine this. Your roof’s longevity varies depending on the material it’s made from, how well the roof is insulated, the ventilation system and outdoor weather conditions. According to U.S. News and World Report, the typical lifespan for asphalt shingles is about 20 years, but Oklahoma weather conditions shorten the average roof’s lifespan.
How much does a roof replacement cost?
Will insurance pay for my roof replacement?
Your insurance company may have stipulations when it comes to paying for a roof replacement. For example, some policies won’t cover repairs that are deemed purely cosmetic, and insurers may refuse to replace your roof if it wasn’t maintained properly.

What type of roofing do I need?
Asphalt shingles are the most common type of roofing material. They’re generally the most affordable option, easiest to install and last about 20 to 25 years. At McCann's, we believe that due to Oklahoma’s climate and weather, asphalt shingles are nearly always the most economical and wise choice. More expensive options like metal, slate and shake exist, but they’re also more expensive to replace after Oklahoma’s notorious hail and windstorms.
